A bar in my town closed about a year ago. It recently reopened under new ownership, but with the same name, and a similar menu. Their beer game isn't up to speed yet, but when it is, should I create a new entry, or "revive" the old one?

Same name, same address... it's got to be listed as the same place then, there's nothing else you can do.

I would also suggest that just a change in ownership (same name, same address, similar menu/concept) should be the same place though we can add a note that there was an ownership change in XXXX (where XXXX is the month/year).

After bringing the place back from the 'closed' status, if the beer selection in the new place isn't up to the same level as previous, that first review should definitely emphasize a note of that fact.
