There's a cocktail bar in the database, and based on what staff told me recently, they are no longer serving beer. They said they're exclusively a "cocktail-focused establishment" now, and didn't have a beer list, only a cocktail menu.

If the only current rule for Places is to serve beer, shouldn't this place be removed or "retired"?

    I'm thinking yes.
it looks like the only review some 7 years ago acknowledges that it's a cocktail bar but has (had) a small draft & bottle (beer) list, which is now gone.
As we're not cocktailadvocate.com, I just retired it.

Thanks! That was my thinking too. They started out with a small beer list and gravitated away from it, since they are world-reknowned for their cocktails. Maybe a note of "Beer list has been retired." or something similar, it looks like no activity on Untappd there since 2019...

I was just browsing around Places for a future (likely Fall 2021) beer trip and came to the conclusion that once things are actually back to normal and reopened in most places that there will be a huge clean up needed in terms of breweries and bars that have closed in the last 18 months.

Good point, I ran through the Chicago list recently and there were nearly 20 places that had closed. It would be helpful if BA's reviewed their local places and marked any closed ones.
