I have a friend who will be "stuck" in Toronto for a week. She is staying at the trump tower and would like to know good places to eat/drink near her hotel. Yes she is going to Bellwoods. Thanks!
Bar Hop (both locations) and WVRST are a short walk from her hotel. She should also ensure she gets to (the original) Bar Volo during it's last few months in existence. Short subway ride up Yonge to Wellesley station ... I'm assuming we're looking for a beer focus of course ... all three of these do offer good food though.
no to c'est what and granite. granite looks like your weird aunt's home that hasn't been reno'd since 1978. and the beer ain't that good. c'est what had its time and place. Toronto, in the summer? c'est what's basement's the last place i'd want to be. it's very, very dated.
This is a list of places to avoid. C'est What I never got, Bistro has tanked. I will admit Volo taps are good (so are bottles, but $$$), but not worth the hassle getting there. Cab/uber/TTC ride is a must.
