Hi, I'm going to be in Brampton next week for work, Monday - Thursday. Can anybody suggest places in the area for good beer and food? I'm open to anything in Toronto as well. Thanks for you help.
Toronto is going to be the place to go....Bellwoods, Volo, Barhop, beerbistro and Ces't What are the best bets in the city. The Amsterdam brewhouse is a solid option as well. I'm not all that familiar with the beer happenings in Brampton but I'm sure its pretty dismal though. Hope this helps and I'm sure some others will add some suggestions as well. If you make it out to T.O. post something here if you want to meet for beers anywhere in the city.
Doubt you'll find anything other than pub serving macro out in Brampton. peensteen has it right with his bar listings if you do make it to Toronto, WVRST is another excellent stop.
Brampton and Mississauga re both craft beer waste lands, which is crazy considering that they have a combined population of well over a million people. If you don't want to go in to Toronto and you want somewhere that is a shorter drive, you could try West 50 in Mississauga. They have something like 120 beers on tap, of which 80-90 are crap. But you will find a few decent offerings there. Depending on where you are in Brampton you would be looking at a 10-30 minute drive.
