    Good Morning BAs,
Ill be in Milwaukee today to catch the cubs game. I will be visiting specher, and Lakefront brewery. Any suggestions on bars, food and bottle shops near that area? I'll be staying a couple blocks away from brewers stadium. I'd appreciate any recommendations. Thank you in advance.

    Cheers!

Discount Liquor is probably the best bottle shop in the city and it's about 3 miles from the stadium on 51st and Oklahoma. Also check out Third Space's brewery right by Sobelmans (spelling?). It's one of the better burgers and bloody marys in town.

Discount has tons of Toppling Goliath bombers in stock. DDH Sue and SuMo are a must!!

I can understand why you'd go to Lakefront for the tour, but do yourself a favor and skip Spretcher in favor of any number of vastly superior breweries. Hit up Raised Grain, Black Husky, or 3rd Space. Your tastebuds will thank you.

Has a great discussion of places as well. And I have a much longer post of places to visit, but the best places overall for bottle shops are Discount Liquor on 51st and Oklahoma (about 10 min from Miller Park) and Rays Wine and Spirits in Tosa which is a bit further away. Story Hill BKC on Bluemound Road is a good restaurant/bottle shop thats right next to Miller Park and a bunch of other sports bars (Dugout 54 being the most craft-centric).

I'd second what @Angerhaus said with skipping Sprecher. They make some decent "traditional" German styles, but are lacking in the other beers and overall I think their sodas are better than the beers... I know how it can be really hard to change someone else mind, but both Third Space and City Lights are nice new breweries basically next to Miller Park whereas Sprecher is probably 15 minutes or more away depending on traffic. Let me know if you have any other questions and I'm happy to help out. Enjoy Milwaukee and Go Brew Crew!

Whenever I go visit relatives in Brookfield, there are 3 places I hit (time permitting)...

    1) Ray's Wine and Spirits. Good shop and they frequently have something interesting in the growler gallery.

    2) Kopp's for frozen custard and/or deliciously greasy burgers.

    3) Tenuta's in Kenosha on the way back. Tons of beer and liquor plus some serious Italian food options.
