This place deserves more attention here. The new tap room recently opened. Anyone try this season's Hive beers?

And its down a road marked "Dead End". Keep driving, I went a few weeks ago with a few friends and my toddler (who's 2), and it was unbelievable. Kid had a great time with the animals and the tap room and beer were fantastic.

These guys deserve a lot of attention. Been up to the tasting room twice since they opened. Their saisons easily deserve to be in the conversation with Suarez and Hill Farmstead. Amazing depth of flavor and some really unique ideas.

I love Plan Bee. Been meaning to get up to the farm. Once the kids soccer season is over, I will head up.

I've only had Barn Beer, but I love that stuff. It's nice that it's routinely available around me too. I will definitely have to make it up there at some point.

Cannot recommend going here for the new taproom enough. It's only a couple miles out of the city but you feel like you're 100 miles out in the middle of the country. Just a gorgeous, serene place to drink some of the best sours in New York.

I agree. I've only been there once but it was a great stop (beautiful weather and just enough visitors; I'm not sure how much I'd like it if it was crowded or raining). I tasted about 5 beers while I was there and liked them all, and I took home 4 or 5 bottles. While they don't have a wide range of beers the differences are more than subtle, and I really enjoy their delicate nuances. Great stuff!

Agreed, Plan Bee is great. We brought our kid to the Children's Museum one rainy Sunday afternoon and stopped by the brewery. The place was pretty empty probably due to the weather, so it was kind of nice having the bar mostly to ourselves.

We're going to be moving 10 minutes away from the brewery at the end of June, so I'm sure I'll be hanging out here more often haha.

Nice! I love quite close myself. How old is your kid? I have a 16 month old and he loves that children’s museum.

Anyone here try that “breakfast beer” that was brewery/draught only? Amazing. Maple syrup+Whiskey barrel+sour, unexpected and delicious.

Oh cool! My son is 2.5 years old so a bit older than yours. My mom already gave us a 1 year pass to the children's museum so we'll be going there often. Maybe we can meet up for beers later this summer.

Anyone try King Bee (the lone lager)? Do they usually have a lager on?

New Batch of King Bee had that Plan Bee rustic-earth component that one is so fond of with grassy hops, semi-sweet bready malt, toasted honey, dandelion hive...

Plan Pee + Peekskill + NYS Ingredients = Seek out or jump at the opportunity if it presents itself

Believe this is the only lager that rotates in and out. However, from an earlier post last August, there could be more gems like this down the road per “we are working on our own Lager Yeast strain
