Just out of curiosity, how many bottles are people buying? I buy one to drink now (meaning when I get to NYC to get 'em) and one to age. How about others?

I mix up what I buy depending on the style. Of the first recent batch I only got the 2 per style allotment, but wish I could have gotten more Quince. Of the latest allotment I got an extra Barn Beer for long-term aging and an extra Bartlett because the original rye barrel aged Bartlett was so awesome. Can't wait until Evan is ready to unleash some Armour and Karnl.

Pretty similar to @MichaelHatter for me as well. I split a 6 bottle membership and grab a couple extras so I have about 2 or 3 of each release.

My wife and I visited the farm on Saturday afternoon to pick up our bottles. As @eb1610 said, it is a really beautiful place. Emily was so nice and showed us around the new 10 barrel brewhouse and the coolship/barrel room in the basement of the renovated barn. It is an amazing place and I'm really looking forward to visiting again in a few months when it is warm and sunny.

I opened a bottle of Nectar on Saturday night and it was wonderful. Very soft and delicate, but with a complex flavor. Looking forward to trying the others over the next few weeks.

I have to say that nothing really stands out about Barn Beer like, say Quince or Nectar, but damn I think they nailed exactly what they were going for. This is a really easy, everyday drinker

oh absolutely. I think their description was absolutely perfect for the beer. it was exactly what i was expecting given what evan had said about it and i was really pleased with it. totally different than what quince/nectar were going for, but for what it's trying to be i think its great.

I opened a bottle of Quince last night. I was really impressed. I thought it was even better than Nectar. More tart, but still really balanced.

Quince has definitely been my favorite of the new releases

Just joined the Hive and put my first order in. Picked up a bottle of Bartlett and Barn Beer. Bummed to see that I just missed a delivery, but that'll give me some time to add to the order.

If you are itchin' for some beer, you can take a trip up to the farm and grab them. Just let Emily know and she'll coordinate times.

Picked up what I had today. Talked to Evan for a bit with a tour of the barn on brew day. I really dig the entire operation and am quite excited for the brews on the horizon.
For anyone that visits and cycles, the rail trail is very close to their land. I totally blanked on putting my bike in the car but I will not make that mistake next time.

I imagine any day now we should be hearing about the next release(s).

What was everyone's opinions on the move to Dive Bar? Draft list was less appealing than OMH, but I was pleasantly surprised at the bottle selection they had

Since Dive Bar is a 3 minute walk from my apartment and my local goto bar, I was quite happy!

I was thinking the same thing about a release coming soon.

When I was up at the farm, Emily told me that they had a beer they will be calling 'Karnage' in one of their huge oak barrels. It will be similar to 'Karnl' but uses a different type of cherry (not Montmorency) and will not be aged in rye whisky barrels as Karnl was. It sounded amazing and hope that might be the next selection on the board. I'm sure whatever is released next will be delicious though.

Opened a Barn Beer last night and it is such a great warm weather beer. Depending on my cash flow and if they are available I may buy a few more.

Y'all mean Broadway Dive, right? It was scheduled for Dive Bar and was moved to Broadway Dive if I remember correctly.

My good friend lives right across the street from Dive Bar and I've been going there for years. They often get good beers there and do growler fills, but I question their line-cleaning and general appreciation for beer.

Broadway Dive seems to be the same owners, but it feels much more craft beer-oriented. Good tap selection and to-go bottles and cans. Way too tight of a space though. I can't imagine what the pickup was like given how tight that space is.

Either way, I hope they keep doing drop-offs there as I can have my friend pick them up without a problem. Haha.
