Indeed. I have never seen nor heard of Brauerei Plank in my area of Massachusetts. But then again I don't see Mahr's Bräu in my area, either, but I know Mahr's is sold in MA.

So I saw some Plank at a (semi) local store today, but both labels were Weizenbock and I wasn't in that mood, wanted to try a good lager.

Funny thing is, both labels were Weizenbock, but they were both very different... old and new stock? I see at the BA listings that there's a Dunkel and Helles Weizenbock, but only one of the labels matches to what I saw -- curious.

Sounds like Plank "did it again" (i.e. the label...again...Sorry)

Maybe the labels fell off in transport and the shop owner just stuck them on randomly.

But they both advertised the same beer, just two completely different labels.

That's odd, maybe he is in the process of switching labels and one was old batch and the other new ? Us locals always drink it straight from the keg so what do we know about labels, hehehe.

They definitely used to have both a pale and dark weizenbock. It's hard to tell how fresh they are on my local store's shelves, but they still have both in stock around here. The darker one tends to be rarer and not everyone carries it. I haven't seen their pils in a while.
