See if you can manage an in-person trade through the trading threads with someone that has some HF. You'll be in the right area where people will most likely have some to trade. While it's not like going to the brewery maybe it is worth a shot as a last resort.

Good idea! Anyone want a bottle of this year's Abyss? Fremont Bourbon Abominable?

I assume you will be traveling up I-91. Easy on-off stop at Brattleboro, there's a place called Whetstone Station that often has HFS Edward on tap, and you can eat there. Not sure how up to date their web page is, but it listed now and indicates they have bottles of some HFS collabs.

Is Trillium offering samples yet? Or still just growler fills?

Thanks for the advice! We will be staying a night at the Equinox in the Green Mountain National Forest Area on Tuesday night and then heading from there to NYC via Connecticut (with a stop at NE Brewing) so hopefully we can stop at Whetstone for an early lunch, NEB for happy hour and then catch the train into NYC...I am so excited for this trip...

if you're running the Montreal marathon, make sure not to overlook the beers make up there! Some truly incredible breweries north of the border too...

If you need some advice while in the Manchester area, let me know...my backyard. Make sure you plan for a drink on the back terrace of the Equinox around the fire pit. One place I go with friends for a scotch...

You can start here to see what you'll be near in the city: http://www.beeradvocate.com/place/city/20/
I would send a PM to duchessedubourg, she has the true lowdown into the beer scene and what's being brewed up there that is noteworthy and I get most of my info through her. But Dieu Du Ciel is one of my favorites and do still love the beers coming from Unibrouie.
