    Greetings, friends!

So while I once lived in Philadelphia, I am a bit away from all that right now and only reconnected with BA, only to notice the amazing things happening in my former home city. Crazy times.

Anyway, I am super intrigued by the lagers at Human Robot and am considering making the trip in from Central NJ for a day.

In addition to Human Robot, what other places are MUSTS in that area? In a perfect world, I would remain in one neighborhood for the afternoon, but I am open.

    Thanks in advance!

Fermentery Form is a short walk away, just make sure you check their hours first. Otherwise in the neighborhood: Memphis Tap is re-opening today, sounds like they’ll have DDH Pliny on tap if that interests you.
St. Oner’s is also within walking distance if you’d like to pick up some Tired Hands (only to-go). I’m sure others will be able to chime in with plenty of recommendations, there’s a lot to like in Fishtown. If you’d like a larger menu and don’t mind traveling a little your options expand (obviously), as well (but frankly I wouldn’t bother too much).

I'd second the Fermentery Form recommendation. Looks like they've been open on Saturdays lately. I believe Instagram is the best place to check on opening/hours. They make awesome farmhouse/saison beers.

Fermentary Form looks amazing... Only open on Thursdays I see. That may have to wait for a subsequent visit.

Just wanted to briefly chime in, on the subject of Form. I had friends (safely) visiting from out of town and we toured a few places in Fishtown last weekend. Started at Human Robot (which was great! and had plenty of business!) and were on our way walking to International when we strolled right past the Form alleyway.

I had completely forgotten about it, and unfortunately they were closed... but there were a few staff members having beers and smoking cigarettes outside the door, so I asked if we could buy a few beers. I would have been 100% understanding had they said no, but they were happy to oblige and let us pop a few bottles at the picnic table in the alleyway while the staff did a “beer tasting” amongst themselves inside. The Vieux and Formation were some of the best beers I had all weekend. Our guests loved the alleyway detour.

Just wanted to sing their praises because I appreciated the flexibility; said to my wife that we absolutely need to make a point to visit more throughout the summer so I’m not caught off guard again.

They’re open on Saturdays for limited hours, I think, you may just have to sporadically check Instagram (someone else please correct me if you know more than I do).

And that's my potential aim... Saturday, early afternoon-ish.

Sadly, it didn't, thanks to youth soccer. Always with the adulting.

But I have this earmarked for a weekend in the not-too-distant future. That whole area of Philadelphia is just buzzing with good stuff right now.

Way south, but ARS is a great spot as well.

If I can hijack the thread, what should I keep an eye out for from ARS?

A buddy of mine spotted me a couple of cans from them... please don't ask me what they were. But their hoppy stuff has never disappointed. I really need to make it a point to get there.
