I need help with ideas for a bachelor party focused on craft beer. We will be meeting up in Boston, but open to traveling to places in the northeast. It will be in the middle of June and I'm currently thinking we could visit Hill Farmstead and camp out in somewhere in VT? Other ideas, places to go?
Oops, never mind. Can't do that anymore except for special events. I think there is some camping on Caspian Lake nearby, or you could possibly rent someone's summer home there for a weekend.
Look into camping at little River State Park in Waterbury, then you can day trip to HF and party in the beer/food mecca of Waterbury.
I'm actually considering a similar thing--bachelor party weekend centered around beer. I think we'll be going to Portland, which has a great collection of breweries and bars, and is very easy to get around without a car. It's one of my favorite cities for beer and in general, so it works well. If you want to consider things other than camping, Burlington, Portland, Portsmouth and Boston/Cambridge are all home to good bars and breweries, and you should be able to get around all of them without worrying about having to drive much.
The nice thing about the terms of my handfasting is I can technically have a bachelor party every July. What the hell... who wants to celebrate my engagement to do the annual vow renewal at Armsby Abbey this Friday?
I had a beer-centric bachelor party. Started at Sacco's in Davis Square (Local beers, flatbread pizza, candlepin bowling). Went to Sunset in Allston for dinner (~400 beers, but generally nothing too rare. You're still likely to find something you like). Then to Deep Ellum for dessert more beer (I have no recollection of what I drank here. I just know it was delicious). It was a blast and I was not in such great shape the next day.
