I'm starting to plan a trip to Vermont for myself and three others. So far all I've got on my list are Alchemist and Hill Farmstead. I see Lawson's is closed to the general public.

I'm not sure where we'll be staying yet or even when we'll be going so I can't give you all much to go on. Just trying to get the ball rolling.

What breweries, bars, restaurants, and/or shops should we make sure to hit while we're in the state?

Alchemist is also closed to the public. There are a dozen threads seeking similar info, just in the last month or so, so you should check those. Need to know where you plan on staying for anybody to provide any more detailed advice, but certainly the pubs in Waterbury are a major draw, with great beers on tap. If you want Lawson's the best bet is the Warren store on Thursday morning. Lunch at the Mad Taco would be a good option for food and good taps.

Agh, noob mistake not checking other threads. My apologies. I'll check back when I've got a little more info RE: where we'll be staying, etc.

Hey Mike, your not a noob, you've been on BA for almost a year. I would just stay in Waterbury at the Best Western if it's you and the guys, or at the Old Stagecoach Inn is a daintier more expensive option (is it more expensive?). You can also camp out of town and you are within striking distance of The Warren Stowe, The Trapp Lodge, Burlington, Montpelier, etc. Great place, go sooner and comeback soon.
