    Hey folks,

Anybody have any luck shipping a plastic growler or growlers in their suitcase and have it not leak or explode by the time you got home from your flight? I have a chance to bring a TX beer back to Boston.

I've never done plastic, but I bring beer home every trip i take in my luggage. I wrap it in bubble wrap if i have it, if not i use my clothes. Never had a mishap. Just out of curiosity, which beer you got?

Got Yellow Rose from Lone Pint, but we are going to drink it. Bringing back some Jester King and Prairie bottles though.

I've had no issues with bottles, just curios how lucky people were with 32 or 64 oz growlers.

All great stuff, that yellow rose is a gem though. Good luck on the growlers.

Are you wanting some bottles to take back? I think they just released a new batch and saw them at my local Whole Foods on Saturday?

No worries Don. We drank the growler last night. I'm actually wrapping up some Jester King and Prairie bottles at the moment before heading back to Boston this afternoon. Thanks for the gesture too.

Glad you found some, every time I have it on tap I am so glad I can find this within 5 miles of my house on any given day. Glad you found some strange to take home with you. Hope you enjoyed your trip

Hoping I can find Yellow Rose when I am in Grapevine / DFW in late Septmeber. Looked on beer menus and doesn't look like places post on there from that area.

Hopefully the new format will be available in DFW by then. They are moving from 750ml to 500ml around the august timeframe, so hopefully they will package this in 4 packs.

I took 2 plastic 32oz growlers home on a flight once in my luggage and neither one reacted well to the trip. The air pressure / temperature below deck (perhaps) did something weird to them. The indented bottoms of each growler flipped inside out and the beer was pretty much flat. From filling, to flight, to consumption, was all within 48 hours; I've never had any problems with beer in those growlers before or since that experience so I definitely attribute it to the flight...
