Odd title, I know. Let me explain.

I have so much glassware my wife won’t let me purchase any more, but we don’t like to use glassware in the hot tub. We definitely consume beer in it though.

Are there any companies that make “nice” plastic cups that are replicas of Teku’s, Tulips, Snifters, etc? I can’t seem to find them online.

I could always find plastic wine glasses and settle for that, but hoping someone here has found a niche store for beer nerds.

Thanks for any input, and Merry Christmas!

I was after the same thing, but something I could easily fly with on work trips so I'd have a review worthy 'glass' for my hotel. And something I could take camping with no worry of leaving glass shards behind. The link @FBarber posted is about all I could find. I still have yet to purchase them.

Really holding out for a snifter, but doubt there is much of an overlap for people particular about their beer glassware, and those OK with drinking from plastic. I'll keep looking.

I used to have a couple acrylic wine glasses for hiking/camping. The stem and bas disconnected from the bowl and clicked securely inside. I got them at REI, but didn't see them on their website just now. Not as nice, but these would do the job.

My mother in law runs a store and when the holidays come toward the end, she opens all the liquor gift sets and puts the bottles out for retail and keeps the glasses. So far this year I have ended up with some really stout jager cups and im sure I’ll end up with a few other heavy plastic cups. Keep any eye out for gift sets. It’s an easy way to get some decent glasses whether they’re plastic or not and even if they’re glass, it won’t kill you see them bust. Cheers.

Go with stemless wine glasses, can find them made of insulated stainless instead of plastic. Actually a few companies making stainless beer "glasses" too which are good for outside and better than plastic

I tried a few pages of a mixture of keywords and didn’t find what I was after. I’ll probably end up there looking again though.

I like the stainless idea. It would be cool to find a stemless Teku, but I may have to settle for wine glasses.

I know this isn't the glassware discussion thread, but...My problem with stemless wine glasses (and we have a few - both for beer and for wine) are that the lip is too thick. I like a thin lip for drinking. That's true for beer, wine, spirits.

I use plastic shakers when camping. The beer tastes no different from glass..but warms up faster

We tent camp a few times every summer and I usually pick up non-distro beers along the way to our campsite.

I like to match my glass to the style for the "beer-****" collection photo, but I don't want to risk losing a teku or snifter to Mother Nature, a clumsy family member, or my drunken stupidity.

So, my wife surprised me and bought me the variety pack last year. With these glasses, I have documented my outdoor drinking on camping trips, boat rides, hotel stays, etc. and haven't lost a glass yet!

    Those look quite interesting!

OP, you want plastic so it is clear and doesn't create a visual obstruction to the beer?

When I can't use glass I use either vacuum-insulated stainless or food-grade silicone shaker pints. And have just dealt with the visibility impairment. If a stemless wine glass style is desired, think Yeti makes some stainless wine tumblers with that geometry...but pricey.

When at a beer fest in belgium they had plastic version of the various chalices. We brought some home and served us well, maybe they exist out on the internet somewhere now?

Those are probably the nicest of anything I’ve seen yet in this thread. No offense to anyone that likes the funky glass shapes, but it’s odd to me that there are so many plastic options with lots of weird curves, but there were no snifters or more traditional styles. These are great.

Funny but I just googled it before I posted it and liked them so much I just ordered them myself. Will report back but looks like delivery could be a month out.

I just like the feel of the Teku lip for most general drinking of any style, even when it’s not the “right” glass so I thought they would be good for a hot tub cup. Since I’ll drink anything in the hot tub!

We have a lot of the yeti stuff from years of work gifts mostly. They’re nice, but just not the same as a nice piece of glass!

I think you have won. Not that it was a competition, but these look great! I think they’ll be headed to a mailbox near me soon.thanks!
