Plead the 5th

I picked up a 4 pack at Bolingbrook Binny's yesterday.

 

Schaumburg had it yesterday as well. Both Schaumburg (2 btl limit) and Bolingbrook (4 pack limit) only got 1 case each, so appears it will be very scarce.

 

It does not exist in SE Michigan, its a ghost. I've heard rumors of this plead the fifth, I've seen pictures but I don't believe. I think the distributor just blew it from what I've heard from my guys that the bottle shops. Anybody, know of some in Detroit?

 

Word is, early next week in the SE. Mon-Tues.

Oakland county got it this week.

 

Try the little shops with decent beer. Grabbed a few 4 packs at places like that. In n Out at 10 and Campbell had it yesterday.

 

Macomb County got it this week, albeit in extremely limited quantities. I don't know if more is on the way, but my one store was limiting it to two bottles per person, per day. The double crooked Tree was literally gone the day it came in, but there's still some Plead left over as of last night. Another shop was limiting it to 1 bottle per person, or if they bought other stuff, 2 bottles. I can't believe this stuff is so scarce, for an amazing imperial stout, Founder's Imperial Stout was a thousand times easier to get with no obscene limits and cheaper prices.

 

I love this stout took me 3 hours to drink 1 plead and 1 dogfish head world wide stout last night.. both are great sippers

 

Your best bet would be to call the general store at Dark Horse to see if they have any left.

 

Success at the place at Campbell and 10. Thats kind of a surprising little gem there, i've been to the place a stones throw down the road but never thought this place looked "crafty" enough to bother.

Anyone in the Chicagoland area, take a look at the Binny's site and search for who has the single bottles as "Available." Call them and ask if they have any. The places I called were hit and miss, but a couple still had them with a 2 bottle limit. They are stored in the back, so you definitely have to ask. But I was able to get a few bottles today.

Edit: They are $3.49 per bottle.

 

I think you'll still be able to find it in a few places. If you are driving then you'll have better options along your route if it's not in GR.

 

Not to derail the thread but DoubleCrooked Tree...how good are we talking?? My local shop had a case and selling 4packs for $19. Pretty sure i got a 4 pack of BBpt5 for less..

 

Double Crooked Tree's definitely good enough for a 4 pk purchase at $19. Think of it as 2 $9.50 bombers of a 12% DIPA. Worth it though.

 

Yes, well said, I almost didn't buy it but glad I got 1 4 pack. I'll save the money buy continuing not to buy bombers of IPA (yes Stone, talking to you).

 

I know that i'm in the minority and maybe it's because IPA's are not my go to #1 style (but I do enjoy them) but Stone is beyond overrated IMO.

Grocery store my mi casa has quite a bit left but no DCT that I noticed
