    As do I.

    The MrB fermentor and 1-L bottles are ideal for home brewers who
    1) don't want or need 5Gs of any one recipe
    2) want to brew more often
    3) don't care a lick about the weather and
    4) enjoy making tasty ales w/out the significant sunk cost incurred by the 5G crowd.

    2 gallons of beer @ 68F + 1.5 ounces cane sugar ===> 2.3 Volumes of CO2

    What's different about Mr. Beer?

    VikeMan, I think I love you. Ack... cough cough... But really. My thoughts exactamente.

    How about just buying more Mr. Beer (or any) carbonation drops?...which is what the kit probably came with.

    In my view, the carb drops are fine but really no easier than just using 4.5 Tablespoons sugar out of your kitchen cupboard. Using table sugar is also cheaper. But yeah, you should get the same results either way. Personal preference.

    I just figured it would be easier for someone new to the addiction. The OP may not have a scale and the carb drops are probably more accurate than volume measurements. Welcome and cheers.

    Thanks. And by the way, I meant to say 3.5 Tablespoons (not 4.5 -- that would be a bit much).

    That's a good classic youtube explanation on beer bottling.

    Nice - that's a good "primer" on the subject.
