    Fellow Texas BAs,

I still try to grab the whalez like the rest of you, but I have far less time to do so since I moved down to Houston. I have been trying to make an effort to grab good stuff that I always seemed to pass up on in the past, for whatever reason. Recently, I have been grabbing the following brews that are relatively easy to find and not too expesnive:

    Union Jack
    Convict Hill
    FBS
    Prima Pils
    Weekend Warrior
    Weisse Versa
    Weinstephaner Heffe
    Zoe
    Temptress

I am sure I left some out that I have purchased recently, but you get the idea. I am just curious if there are things that I normally never even notice, but are actually pretty solid brews. I got a six pack of Java Stout a week or so ago and was pleasantly surprised. I am sure that there are more. Thanks in advance!

I enjoy the Firestone Walker Pale 31 quite a bit. Saw some Firestone stuff on your list and some pales there so give it a shot if you haven't before. Other stuff that I have been wanting but been passing up due to drinking down the cellar.

    BCS
    Real Ale Coffee Porter
    Brick Vanilla Porter
    Narwhal
    Ten Fidy

    My most frequent are:
    Lone Pint Yellow Rose
    Karbach Weekend Warrior
    Prairie Standard
assorted saisons that I decide to try

I rotate through stouts/porters depending on what is available so I don't have a true "go to," but BCS, FBS and Victory at Sea are in the fridge pretty often. Wife likes Avery White Rascal a lot right now so we get that pretty often. If other Prairie beers were in smaller bottles I would buy them more often, especially Prairie Hop and 'Merica.

I actually picked up the Mosaic IPA Friday and I definitely liked that. I can't believe how many times I have passed up on Yellow Rose though??? I will grab that next time. I forgot Ten Fidy on my original list. That stuff is as good as almost any seasonal stout out there IMO. I have to try Festina Peche, Prairie Standard, and Yellow Rose. I think I see those every time I go to Spec's. I guess if Spec's did mix sixers where I shop, I would have already tried all of these and then some. Thanks for the suggestions so far!

Lagunitas Little Sumpin Sumpin (and Sumpin Wild) are practically my house beers. I probably go through a case of either a month depending on what's available.

After this... Zoe, Pale Dog, and Pearl Snap Pils are the most common things you'll find in my fridge (although my wife currently has about a billion pumpkin beers in there that I'm slowing drinking through [she's a slow drinker]).

I also drink a lot of Bavarian and German beers... so you're likely to find me drinking Ayinger Ur-Weiss & Celebrator, Weihenstephaner Vitus, Korbinian, & Hefeweissbier; Franziskaner Hefeweiss, and Schneider Aventius Weizen-Eisbock or Weiss Tap 6. All world class... all under $5 for 500ml and no one drinks 'em!

Seasonally... Celebration is a beer I'll buy by the case and FBS has been having some good play.
