We truly appreciate the support everyone around town has given us and are assuring everyone we have never charged 6.99 for a bootle of Pliny. It had been between 4.99 and 5.50 for some time now.

Sounds like your playing telephone. I've been going to Davis Beer Shoppe since it opened and Taylor (the owner), has never had prices like that. If you dont know exact facts, and you only "think a friend" payed that, dont throw a great business under the bus.

Yes sir, I should have checked with him first. I thought he said Davis beer shop but he was talking about Aggies. He said that the guy was complaining that they weren't getting enough Pliny and the prices went up. Charged him 11.99. I must have heard wrong.

This is also weird cause I used to always get my Pliny at Aggies for 5.99 but haven't been ere in close to a year.

I believe the suggested retail is $4.79. In the last year, everywhere in the bay area that I get it from has increased their prices up to 5.49, 5.99, and even 6.49. Once it goes over $6 I refuse to shop there and encourage other local BAs to do the same. It's not about being able to "afford it", it's about rejecting the greed.

My $5.50 Pliny days are sadly long gone. The cheapest I paid in the last few months was $6.50, but usually $7. I rarely drink it anymore, I usually buy it to throw in as an extra for trades to the midwest or the east.

And if you're someone like me who needs to trade for it, the 9.99 sounds like a bargain!

Thanks for the clarification, I was wondering why Stearns sold it for 4.99 last time!
