Pliny the Elder 12 pack

They are not often strict with the limit...Bottles of Pliny are 5.25 each so a 12pk (which is what the green box holds) would be 63 dollars.

 

Here's mine. I picked up a case at the brewery, but that was 6 each for my wife and I. The bottle limit was strict then

 

Grr... went there today and they were out!!!

I got some blind pig, and sours, but no PtE. They said they'd have more tomorrow.

 

Currently in city of industry for a few days any idea where I can get some bottles?

 

Walnut Liquorette (Walnut) and Lone Hill Liquor (Glendora) should have some. I've picked up two bottles at Lone Hill within the last week that were bottled on 4/23. Be aware that you'll have to ask for them, just because they're not on the shelves doesn't mean they aren't there.

Both locations are within a 5-15 minute car ride from Industry.

At Lone Hill, I really feel it depends who you ask. Your best luck is if Stan is in, I've always had the best luck with him.

The other younger guys, are hit or miss..usually miss. In my experience, even if they do have it, they'll choose whether or not they want to sell it to you. I've literally been told no, then after a few minutes changed their mind and sold me one.

At Liquorette, you'll want to talk to Joe.

 

Yea, Stan is the one you want to go through. Call beforehand to see if he's in and go then.

Not singling out this place, because this seems pretty common across the state. Sad this is the routine these days for buying RR. I went from buying a case of Pliny at a time any day of the week with no limit a few years ago to not having purchased a single bottle in more than a year. It's not worth playing the game.

I know Vinnie is reluctant to expand. Perhaps he'll follow Alpine's lead and work with a larger brewer to increase production on Pig/Pliny. I can dream.

I know, GF is only producing kegs...

 

Im gonna be taking a trip to RR next month after the Internationa beer festival and I will see if they are doing 12 racks of pliny and BP.

 

She sounds like a keeper.

 

Heading to RR next Monday! Hopefully I can pick up a case of PtE. What's the bottle limit on the sours? My wife loves them so we're trying to stock up.

 

No limit on the sours. 6 per person on Pliny and BP. The price of the sours keeps people from buying too many.

I was there today and they had a posted limit of six Pliny but people were walking out with the green cases. I snagged a case right before they ran out of Pliny completely. Stuff was just flying out the door.
