I feel like I have seen this thread before but I couldn't find it tonight. I have relatives taking a Napa trip in the spring staying in the town of Napa. They asked me what to bring back for them ... Admittedly, they were surprised when I mentioned beer. Where in Napa can they pick my up Pliny the Elder (or other Russian River bottles) and are there days that are better than others? Much appreciated.
At the Russian River Brewpub! Which is about 35mins from Napa. All the Pliny you could want. And sours too!
I should add that I don't think they have time to venture to the source. I would devote a whole day to the source as opposed to wineries, but this crew will not take that much time.
2 bottle limit ... now I have to hope they want to go grocery shopping twice! Any other places in Napa or is this my best bet? Thanks for the info.
Does the Whole Foods in Napa "usually" have other RR bottles besides Pliny and Blind Pig? Or is that more hit or miss?
Pliny used to always be on the shelf, with no mention of a limit. I haven't seen it for a while, but maybe you just have to ask for it. They almost always have other bottles too (top left of the beer cooler), but I can't remember what they are. And it's an hour to RRBC, not 35 minutes.
