Yeah so at the time I had Yojo Deux, Yojo 33 1/2, and The Dojo. Modern Times was still dialing it in at that time too, on the hazy front. I'm glad to hear that I should be expecting something better in a future visit. I didn't go write a "bad review" but it was part of my general blogging about the quality of the beer at the breweries I visited. That can be all found on my blog if anyone wants the details. I'd love to be proven wrong by tasting their new stuff.

I didn’t know that they were preselling tix so I just walked in after class on Friday around 4:30 and expected a line. Thankfully no line but since I didn’t have a ticket, I wasn’t served a pour. Ended up getting a slice and a pour of Elder to enjoy with friends in hopes they’d serve me Younger before I took off. Never happened so I guess this’ll be my second consecutive year of being Younger free. I ended up going home and having a growler of Turok Juice in consolation.

I walked right in an hour after the festival started, walked right up to the PTY pitcher. No wait at all.

Got to try this years batch at Davis Beer Shoppe, no lines, no tickets, no BS. Really liked it, nice and dry, crazy smooth, damn near sessionable at over 10+%. Confirmed yet again I still love this beer when dry, limited perceived sweetness, which for my palate and preferences is top shelf. One of my favorites.

Damn good consolation! They opened pours of Younger to non-ticket holders at roughly 10PM (they waited until all ticket holders were accounted for).

I was able to get a pour at Barbara's this afternoon before the crowds came in. It was pretty resin-y, kinda dank and plenty drinkable.

The keg probably kicked 30 minutes after I got my pour.

Fathers Office is giving out tickets now. 100 pours at each location. I’m at Culver City, no line. Still a few tickets left.

I didn’t know where else to ask this question so I’m doing it here because I know a lot of you know you’re stuff and are Russian River Brewing fanatics. So last night I had CBC11 from Russian River at Toronado. It was a lighter brown sour but the bartender couldn’t tell me what CBC stood for. I can’t find anything on beer advocate. Any ideas what this beer may actually be/be named? I’m guessing it’s something from the California brewers conference?

Oh Shazbat… I think I solved my own riddle. While I’m not very savvy on Untappd I think I found it on there. On Untappd it’s listed as CBC Symposium Ale 2011. That helped me to find it here on BA where it’s listed as Symposium Sour Brown Ale. I didn’t want you guys losing sleep over it.

I was able to have Pliny the Younger on the day of it's release this year. It was an awesome experience. We did wait in line for a good while, but made great company. Time flew by. We made it in with the first wave of people let in to try the Younger. It lives up to it's name. For a triple, it is deceptively smooth and easy drinking, with a perfect balance of bitterness. I think there was like 9 different hops or something crazy in that beast of a beer. It is an extremely well made offering, and I really enjoyed the experience. Glad I got to share that experience with these bros as well:
