John's only had a 1/6bbl for what it's worth, and everyone that ordered a glass seemed to be calling and texting buddies to come and do the same so I'd be surprised if it's still on.

 

Younger is on at the Westgate Bourbon Bar and Taphouse, a short walk from the Beaverton Central MAX station.

 

Looks like it's at Lombard House tonight. Any hope for it tapping somewhere this weekend/early next week?

I fly in late tomorrow, if anyone has some inside info on where I might find it shoot me a message and I'll bring you out a Witch's Hat Traxxx from MI. Couldn't set up any trades, but no sense in bringing the Wine Check out empty.

 

It was indeed and I must say, that spot is a real charmer. 12 oz pour and Brian tends a warm, hospitable bar. If you can make the trek, it's worth your time.

PtY made an appearance in Salem on Monday night at Venti's -- the only place in town that ever gets it. $7/10oz.

I've had PtY most years since 2011, and I'm a fan. However, while I enjoyed this year's version, I thought it was far more dry than I recall. Almost like a brut TIPA, if you will. I had a can of Urban Roots Rage Side TIPA when I got home, and I found that far more enjoyable. I feel like a TIPA should have a bit of sweetness to cut the astringency. That's probably why I've always liked Notorious so much.

 

Glad to hear that Roots Rage is still tasting fresh! I'm on the lookout for stuff from Urban Roots, now that they're available in Oregon. @vurt , if you remember Odonata (of Saison/Rorie's fame), Peter Hoey is the brewer/owner of Urban Roots.

 

Wow. At the risk of going all Obi-Wan on you, "Now that's a name I haven't heard in a long time." I will make sure to give Urban Roots beers a try when I see them.

 

We had our annual Barleywine share the other night, and @NWer was gracious enough to bring a couple bottles as change-of-pace beers. Only my 2nd time tasting it (the other was over a decade ago, from a12oz hand bottle, that I got about an ounce of), snagged a couple 3oz pours on Saturday. Now I want a couple full pours.
