What were they charging for it?

$8 for a 25cl (8.5oz) glass, with $4 from each glass going to Habitat for Humanity.

Did Apex still have it last night (Thursday?). I didn't really care for it last year, but with the hype I figured I'd try again...
I was there yesterday around 6pm and asked how long the keg had lasted-assuming it was long gone, and was told they couldn't talk about it, which tells me it was still on. I actually tried to read the tap handles but with my poor night vision, I couldn't read many clearly. So I was basically ignored.

I didn't notice many people drinking small pours, but someone just told me they were there last night and had it.
    I'm just curious.

I guess you could've asked for a pour PtY, I mean you're there and if it's gone you potentially get mocked for a second. No biggie.

Oh definitely. Acting like a human being is best practice. BUT, if you're there, you might as well ask for some and see what happens.

I saw the tweet about not asking, but looking for the handle. My question was genuinely wanting to know how long it had lasted... when she wouldn't answer, I think I said something like "oh yeah, I can't talk about it until I find the handle, right?" She agreed, and then I began my futile search.

To confuse even more, the person who told me it was available says it was put on last night at midnight (and was not on tap earlier, at noon), while several people checked in to Untappd on Wednesday tagging PtY.

    It's on at Beermongers.

But you don't talk about Fight Club, so I've already said too much.

    Hmm..

I'm on break... and I live/work blocks away.

Maybe it'll still be on when I'm off work though. Got lucky with parabola at imperial earlier this week...

Looks like it may have also been on at Hop and Vine last night a bit under the radar.

What's the point of putting it on the website? I question the utility in a website for taplist anyhow, but one keg? How could it even be worth updating a website for that?

I can see why they wouldn't necessarily want to update the website in this instance and have BrewNotice notify a bunch of people, but I'm surprised to hear you say you question the utility of an online taplist in general. If it's not how you like to pick where to go, your choice, but I love places that communicate this info. Most places seem to have a method that requires minimal effort to update.

Disclosure: I'm not familiar with how Belmont runs their website tap listings.

A truly up-to-date website/listing of current taps is *awesome*. But at some point it's also a losing battle. After a few occurrences of checking a taplist and showing up only to find the one beer you are looking for is no longer on tap, you begin to question the accuracy.

Truly, I appreciate that level of communication. I guess it just surprised me that a beer like PtY would even make it up on a website long enough to even be relevant.

Yeah. I went from Apex over to tap and vine... It was literally less than 30 minutes after the first listing of it on untappd. It was already gone, and the place wasn't even crowded.

We update every morning before we open, and throughout the day as long as someone with website access is in the building. Occasionally a keg or two will blow later in the evening and not get updated, but that doesn't happen often.

Apparently APEX put it on again last night and for a few minutes after open today. They either have more than one keg or they're just putting it on and taking it off randomly. Can't believe I usually defend these guys. What a bunch of clowns.
