Pliny the Youngest

It's a super limited release only on tap at select locations on one day out of the year. Some places, such as Beer Revolution, have it listed as Pliny the Unborn but they are the same beer. Care to guess what day of the year?

I actually found some at Safeway. Bought a mixed sixer with three Unborns, two Procrastinations and a Blue Moon.

 

Hey, Safeway doesn't sell mixed sixers!

 

The one in Alviso does, and they've got a killer selection.

 

For a second I thought somebody was asking for me...

But I hear it's dry hopped 41 times.

 

Second batch was only dry hopped 40 times because they couldn't get enough Simcoe.

 

Damn, I should've gone to City Beer after work on Sunday. My day would've been so much funnier.

 

Yeah but I heard they made up for that with a "healthy squirt" of uric acid. Extract, IIRC.

 

Don't forget about Pliny the Stillborn. A triple red ale...
