Pliny worth it?

If you're paying $5-7 a bottle, yes. If you're paying more than that and an arm and a leg for shipping, than NO.

 

Yeah, no it's not. It's still enjoyable. That was just someone's feeble attempt at being funny gone awry.

 

Yes, I am aware. Just like the video it was a joke. At the end of the video they even state "no Pliny was harmed". Both guys are homebrewers so I am pretty certain they filled the bottle with something else. I could be wrong about the refilling but yes it was a joke. A rather funny one.

 

Hey you never know. Look at the drain pour video. Those guys are IDIOTS, even if it was a joke! The sad thing is some people actually would pass on the opportunity for such reasons!

 

People who pass then it's their loss and I would gladly buy the Pliny or other great IPAs that are weeks or even a few months old.

 

To answer your question in a serious manner yes it's worth it. Many people trade for Pliny and other IPAs that are shipped and take as many as 7 days, if shipped over the weekend, to reach the final destination.

Well, I guess I'm the odd man out here: I don't think it's worth the cost of buying and shipping internationally. It's a delicious beer, but the times that I've had it, my only thought was "I'd never go out of my way to get this again".

I'm sure you'll enjoy it, though. I seem to be in the minority.

 

Pliny's good, worth trying, not as fragile as people pretend it is. But at the same time, there are a lot of equally excellent beers out there.

 

Depending on where you go, it seems like it is, you're just not sure which country.
