Just wanted to gauge any interest in the trading market... I only see vintage bottles of the regular trading but didn't know if it's a 'thing'......
I've never had it, but its rated a 97 and I picked up 2 bottles of it the other day, just because I know its alot harder to come by than the regular (which is delicious) But didn't know if it had any trade value.
Off the top of my head the first batch was released earlier last year or late 2012. It was extremely limited (less than 400 bottles I think?) and saw a bit of hype. Then they released the second batch the middle of last year and produced quite a bit. It saw some distribution over here and thus the hype cooled down on the trade market. It's a really good beer and if you haven't had it you should drink all the bottles you can find. Since it isn't the current flavor of the week I have no idea what the trade "value" is these days. Cheers!
I agree with the above assessment and plan. I would just add that you should buy all the Quetsche if you ever see it on the shelf. And drink it. You won't regret it.
Indiana just got this one about two weeks ago, uber limited. Maybe 30 bottles for the state, $24.99-29.99 per bottle.
Drink now or hold for a while? The old saw about "buy one for now and one for later" is tougher to justify on a 1 per person $30 bottle.
Drink it now. That way the next time you see it, you'll know your opinion on whether it's worth buying again. Also, fruit lambics generally are supposed to drink it's best fresh but that's still up for debate of course. Depends what you're looking for.
It's a $30 shelf turd at a local bottle shop. I got it as a part of my birthday present, but I took it back.
