I think there should be a solid plus (another desirable beer, not just shelf stuff to make up $s) on the Prop side. PNC was pricier and much lower bottle count. While there's not as much demand as there was for Prop, there have been a lot of ISOs for it. The "wants to gots" ratio isn't that much different for PNC than Prop - about 4:1 versus 5:1.
Post an ISO. If it gets done 1:1 then it's fair, if not then it's not. People are starting to hang on to their props though.
I've done this 3 or 4 times (lost count), 1:1 straight up. I'd do it again, but wouldn't mind a small + as @Kurmaraja said. It's completely sold out, even for on site consumption at Monk's, and I'm down to my last. @Jimbobebop , message me if you'd like to work something out.
I guess the few times I traded PNC I got generous offers - side project stuff at $4$ and the like. Assassin for PNC doesn't seem out of line to me; I'd be tempted to go for that, but not Prop 1:1. Though I have to admit I've never understood why Prop trades for some of the stuff it does.
It was a lot easier for me to get PNC than Prop and I love Prop more than PNC, though that doesn't say much because they are rather different beers. If both were falling off a cliff and I could only save 1...I would probably jump and try to save them both
Sorry, let me clarify. If you post an ISO and it gets done then you know you have the ammo to get the beer you wanted. If it doesn't then it wasn't a fair trade. In your scenario, the BA abraxas passes the "fair" threshold so it will get done. Plus, people generally know the trading value of BA abraxas because of the plethora of threads for it and it's hughly desirable. With beers like PNC, they don't hit the trade forums that often so its harder to determine it's trade value so by putting up an ISO for what you want you can learn if what you are putting up is fair for it. My statement was more specific for this beer in particular than a simple generalization.
