Unfortunately I believe your options are pretty limited. Mt. Pocono Beverage and West End Beverage come to mind but they are pretty standard PA bottle shops. If you are looking for something limited, call ahead.
I spent a weekend down there last July for a bachelor party. I went to both Mt. Pocono Beverage and West End Beverage(I believe that was the name of the second one). IMO (sorry dudes) both were pretty shitty. I bought a few kegs of Yeungling over the weekend and a case of Hopdevil for myself. The golf courses and bars didnt have any good options either. Cool place, had an awesome time - Forgettable beer.
Not sure exactly where you're going to be, but the best thing I found near Camelback last year was the Weis(?) supermarket on 611 just a mile or so past the outlets. Nothing spectacular but they had some bombers (Chimay, Stone) and a pretty decent selection of six packs. They might have even had a make your own six option but I'm a little fuzzy on that. The other liquor store on the road was just macro cases from what I remember.
It might be worth checking to see if there is a Wegman's in the area. You can get growlers filled in some and most have a decent six pack, bomber bottle selection.
Aren't both of those establishment retailer distributors, i.e., they can only sell full cases - the opposite of a "bottle shop" (a bar/deli licensee that can sell only 192 oz. or less at a time) in PA.
Indeed, this isnt a great area for beer, HOWEVER, if you can find 611, and follow it to its main junction where it meets up with 2 or 3 other larger roads, there is a tucked-away bottle shop somewhere in the strip-mall style setup that has a decent selection. I lived there years ago, and cant remember where the hell it is...just know the 611 Intersection. Also, Shawnee Craft is really cool, and I'd definitely check it out. Its in an old multi-complex, the whole thing is kinda spooky...the emtpy skating rink with weird stuff found here and there...Frank Zappa echoing through the hallways, spooky in a good way. Neat atmosphere. From what I remember, they were sitting on alot of unusual, exciting funky barreled stuff. Not sure if they still have em there, or if theyre bottled, or if theyre long gone. Worth a look, though. Also, as far as I know, closest Wegman's is in Dickson City, about a half hour out of the Poconos. But if you can find the Weis mentioned earlier, its pretty much the same thing, with slightly fewer bombers.
Take 80 east or 611 into stroudsburg. Go to main street and stop at a bar called "Floods". It has an irish flag out front but it is far from that kind of place. Best beer selection in the area and you can get beers to go. The "poconos" can be generally regarded as a larger area than it really is so if you happen to be on the south end of things (Bangor,Sciota, Effort) it would be worth the slightly longer drive to take 33 south to 22 west and go to bethlehem and stop at Abe's Cold Beer on west broad st. It is by far the best bottle shop in the state.
If you have lead time, call Eagle Valley Beverage. Ask for Brad. Order something ahead, and he will have it there for you. Great guy trying to work in a tough market with tough rules. I stop in every time I pass through.
Floods has GREAT burgers, too. Brad's a good dude, too. Havent seen him in years. Good to hear hes still at it.
It's about a 30-40 minute ride. If you are going to stop there, give him a call at least 7 days in advance. He will special order stuff for you. He usually has a decent selection on hand, but will go the extra mile. Tell him "Bellport Dave" sent you! https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&...ei=_sr-UOazHu680QGB7IDwBw&sqi=2&ved=0CMEBELYD
