Riley's in Madison finally got this beer this weekend. Not sure why it took so long.

Did Point cost the same as all other Points?

Yes, shouldn't be more than $7 for 6pk.

Drinking some now. Definitely does not compare to the Fractional IPA from Lagunitas (although that one is pretty hard to live up to), although I do like it more than the All Day IPA from Founders (which I felt had an amazing aroma but was totally lacking in the body and flavor departments). It has a pleasant papaya/mago skin/tropical fruit aroma with a bold hop forward flavor (albeit verging on unbalanced).

I liked Point better than Lagunitas Day Time, but I agree it lacks balance. Still tastes very good.

Where can I find some this Lagunitas Day Time/Fractional IPA in Madison?

Point Whole Hog Pumpkin Ale is phenomenal. I liked the RIS too, but the pumpkin ale is something special!

Anyone find this in cans? Hoping cans hit the market before my golf trip in two weeks. Big fan of this one!

So I just had an epiphany with this Point Beyond the Pale. It is pretty heavy on the Galaxy hops and that is good. I bought some Ale Asylum Satisfaction Jacksin and forgot just how sweet the middle of it is. So I decided to mix the Beyond the Pale and Satisfaction half and half. Wow, it really created a nice IIPA!

Now I'm thinking I should mix the BTP into some Ambers to hop them up! Since it is so inexpensive, I think I will be using it to create some awesome beer. I may have to hop up some Pilseners as well!

The IPA's are new. The Onyx is a rename for 2012 and will now be in cans.

I drink the piss out of Beyond the Pale. It's amazing.
Every damn time I see it, I buy some.

I love the crap out of it, and it's $5.99/6-pack all over Milwaukee and/or N. Illinois (outside of Chicagoland).

Some people turn their noses up at point because of its pricing. New Glarus is only $1 more per 6-pack...so...
I tend to ignore the kinds of people who shop for bier based on prices. They can drop $9 on a bomber of some West Coast IPA and feel smug (sorry, my hipster rage gets the best of me sometimes). More Beyond the Pale for me, haha

FWIW, Their Amber is a favorite when I crave something malty. 2012 is also good. Whole Hog are very, very solid. But this "Beyond the Pale" is amazing. I think I have at least 9 bottles on hand right now, sitting next to my Two Brothers "Revelry" for the days I crave hoppiness, hahah

If someone tries to make you feel bad for drinking a "budget" bier, it's probably time to take a break from the BA forums, hahah. I recently had two very solid LEINENKUGEL biers, hahah. I have an industrial grade flamesuit!

And the new IPA sampler is available. I picked up one of each to try.

Im really interested in the new IPA variety pack considering its cheap and they do make it sound pretty darn good. Hoping to hear what you think so I can pick it up and support my local brewery

Is this going to be around or once it's gone it's gone?

I believe these are a one time thing, but if some sell well I think Point will continue to make those. Point has been doing a better job since 2012 of creating new beer.
