Hi everyone. I'm going to Polk, PA this weekend and I was wondering what I could find. I accessed seekabrew and it says that PA gets Russian River and Deschutes distribution. I haven't tried Pliny or Abyss, and I would like to (perhaps Fresh Squeezed too). Now, since the distribution is limited, is there really any chance of me finding it, or is it so limited that it's very unlikely? Thanks.

You should be able to find some Deschutes varieties in Western PA, yes. Check the Deschutes website for the distribution points out there. Russian River only makes it to the Philadelphia area.

I'm going to say you have no chance of finding Russian River in that area and doubtful of any Deschutes. Russian River is mostly in Philly and is hardly found anywhere else. Not that I'm
An expert of that area of PA, but I dont think that area is known for its craft beer selection.

Pretty much this. I will bet my eyes you won't find any RR. Your best bet in that part of town would be to find a Wegmans and grab some Voodoo.

Thank you for the replies. I figured Pliny was a long shit. What by Voodoo should I try to pick up? Big Black Voodoo Daddy?

Even the Pliny that makes it to Philly is draft only. Bottles are only in CA and MAYBE CO but I'm not sure on CO.

BBVD is a winter seasonal so you won't see it around unless you get lucky. If you do though, buy the shit out of it. It's the easiest drinking 12% stout I've ever come across. I like Good Vibes IPA quite a bit. Hoodoo IPA is also solid but a step down. KillaPilz is an awesome keller that I really enjoy if you like slightly hopped up lagers.

BBVD is on the shelf near me in philly, so if it got distro to where you're going I would be surprised if it wasn't on the shelf somewhere as well.

It's been gone from the Pittsburgh area for several months. I probably haven't seen any since March. We are close to Voodoo and they have name value here, NWPA even moreso.

It usually only sits around Philly because it's a shelf Stout and Philly only loves super limited, rare, low bottle count Stouts.

It's been gone from Western PA for quite a while now, though there may be a few in the wild

You are only about 30 miles from the actual Brewpub in Meadville, you should check it out, or if you go to Erie check out Lavery or even Brewerie at Union Station has been getting better with their new brewer

Well, proves me wrong at least. I don't really drink any stouts, super limited or shelf, so I wouldn't know the full extent of its shelf life in PA. If anyone is looking for some they are like 11 dollars a pop right by me.

Haha yeah, no it's not super limited, but only brewed once a year and then once it's gone, it's gone. $11 is a pretty good price. I think they are $9 at the brewery maybe $8 at the grocery store out this way.

11 is cheap here, other stores had them in the high teens. No surprise for philly though.
