No, but you're right, it probably is the right thing to do. It definitely has impacted how much FW beer I buy.

I prefer to cellar like our four-fathers, but I do enjoy shot gunning a Pils once in awhile.

I disagree, i know my bottles are thrown away not cleaned and reused. if anything they also need to be melted down and reforged into new bottles. I bet the same amount of energy and carbon footprint.

You are waayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy off on this. Bauxite to aluminum is one of the most inefficient and energy hog activities that is detrimental to sustainable habitat. Glass is made from sand, and it is clean fill so no matter how you slice it it's better for the habitat to use glass. Plenty of easy to find info on subject avail.

Cans my man! Weighs less and safer to trade with. Oh, they're easier on the wallet when shipping.

    So you voted for cans?

    I like bottles.

I want to know why I pour a bottle into a glass, but drink straight from the can?

I prefer my Miller Lite from an aluminum bottle and my Baltika from the plastic bottle, thank you very much.

Cans are easier to take anywhere. They are especially easy to throw in my suitcase on the way back from business trips. Bottles involve lots of bubble wrap and packaging tape.
I was surprised by the poll results. I'm sure a few years ago it would have been much different.

I generally prefer bottles for their comfortable drinkability and ascetic reasons, but I have no problems with a can.

I like cans, but on a recent train ride I had my first broken beer container in my luggage - a can. Probably my fault, but glass works better in that situation.

Bottles look cooler but after having my socks knocked off by Jai Alai and Sixpoint out of cans I'm totally fine with cans now! I'm all for whats more environmentally friendly too!

I love the way the artwork completes the experience and story of the beer on a can.

You're right about habitat impact, but as far as overall environmental impact it seems it's a closer fight since bottles take more energy to recycle and transport.

While I understand and agree with all the pros for cans, I'm a bottle person mainly because I absolutely hate drinking from a can (I don't like the metallic taste from the rim of the can) and will only do so tailgating or at some other outdoor event and even then, I'm usually pouring the beer into a cup ("red solo cup, I fill you up...") but with a bottle, I can drink right from it no problem.

Depends. Mostly on the outcome of canned Orval when I get around to tasting it. What ever way it goes will be my container of choice for life.
