And add to Right Number VI its corollary, Right Number V. For me these stand up, but there are a few others that might be debatable.
You are making me hate myself. (Not that that's a hard thing to do ) If can-fetishization American market pressures cause a Belgian brewer to compromise on secondary fermentation and turn to an offsite facility in order to can a product with a longer history than the American craft beer explosion, then I'll find fault.
Well, yeah (kinda the point ). But it's not the first time an Amendment was repealed. Twenty-First Amendment Section 1- The eighteenth article of amendment to the Constitution of the United States is hereby repealed. (Now, what the future will bring...) Now, now - that, of course, was not my intention. (But I do know the feeling. I find a beer helps. And some music...)
Yeah, often you don't pick the correct one right off the bat and you may have to drink several before the cure kicks in. (Man, I bet it's been over a year since I had more than 2 beers in one sitting. For several reasons. I envy you young guys - even the ones who don't think they are young.) Well, I take it you are poolside, right?
I kind of agree, but I was also happy to see The Bruery release Black Tuesday in cans. Smaller is sometimes better!
Having worked at a brewery, the canning system was a lot cheaper than the bottler. The bottling system was super complex and had a few more steps in the line. I can see why many have moved to cans.
I'm voting bottles, but I'm biased. I drink barleywines, stouts, and Belgian lambic and ales (primarily). Lots of the first two are now in cans, which is fine. However, I don't love high ABV beers (in cans) sitting in a cellar too long. Seems like something is going to breakdown and go into the beer. With glass, I have no worries. I also save caps, and cans really don't provide.
I absolutely understand and agree with many of the arguments for cans. Personally I prefer pouring from, and when necessitated, drinking from, a bottle.
I usually drink from a glass too, but I hear that they can taste different whether it's canned or bottled (I definitely notice a difference when I pour it into a glass), so I'm trying to figure out which one is considered better between the two
