Most of the styles listed in the poll average in the 10% range. I had to merge a few styles to get the list down to the maximum poll limit of ten, and didn't have room left for "other." If you have a different favorite style from what is listed here, post it in a reply instead.

    Cheers!

I picked Imperial Stout, but I wouldn't have a problem with strong ales, barleywines, old ales and Imperial IPA's either. I'm not too picky :grinning:

If I'm in the mood for a strong beer nothing can top an American Barleywine.

As much as I love DIPA's, I'm going to have go with an American Barleywine.

I hate polls that make me think before making a decision, and this one made me REALLY think. I've not had a Biere de Champagne, unless you consider Champale (do they even still make that stuff?), or so few Eisbocks that I can't consider either of those two styles. But I finally decided on Belgian Strong Dark/Quad because I've never had a bad one of them.

I will confess to a long adoration with a solid German Eisbock/Doppelbock. Malty goodness, bread for the soul!

Being as how North Coast Old Stock is one only 2 beers I've given all 5's to here, I'm going with Old Ales.

Another Barleywine fancier here though it and Old Ales can often be interchangeable.

English Barelywine/Old Ale should be the two combined and my pick, not English with American. Just my opinion. Followed closely by Eisbock.

You and me both. Honestly I think English barleywines and old ales have more in common and American strong ales and American barleywines have more in common, so I was a little torn on how to categorize these styles. I ended up going by name.

So far the poll's shaking out about how I expected. Figured we'd get more imperial IPA votes but the night is still young.

    EDIT:
    You read my mind

I like Tripels....DIPAs and Barleywines would be close behind.

I'm really leaning towards English Barleywines, but Old Ales and BSDAs/Quads are close seconds. They're incredibly flavorful and robust beers that I just cant can't seem to get enough of. Pass me a glass of any of the styles I listed, without or with barrel aging , I enjoy them equally, and I am a happy man.

I was close to picking that, but then realized that there aren't really that many to be had, at least around these parts.

FWIW- I voted BSDA, but it was really a toss-up between many of them.
