    I find that the sample size necessary depends on the platform. Untappd has far more people checking in on beers than BA, but BA users tend to be more thoughtful. 200 reviews on Untappd is the threshold that I have found to mean much for my brewery ratings and individual ratings are reviewed with discretion. On BA every individual review matters and the rating starts to mean something by the 10th review or so.
