I could wow myself with every beer from my closet. I don't tend to be wowed all that much, I've slowed on the trading and miss rare Xtra that blows the mind. Recent Shorts Huma Liscious is a prime example, excellent beer, NG brews too, fantastic. Maybe twice a year I'd guess.

For the past couple weeks I've been whale hunting. So I get wowed quite a bit. So much so that it's proabably bumped my average to about one in 12.

The next month or so of shelf beers will probably lower that number a bit but that is the current.

Probably every 25ish, I'm an equal opportunity beer drinker so I try every style, even if low rated.

I can recall being bowled over by a few beers since I started, but the idea of WOW seems to be a once in 100 kind of thing. That said, WOW means more than just, "That's an amazing beer" or a 4.75 rating. I drank AV's Gose, and I went WOW. I thought it was great, gave it a 4.41, which puts it in the top 10% for me, but it was a WOW because I'd never had a beer that tasted like it.

The 1st time I was turned onto Craft Beer last March. My night started with a backwoods bastards then a Dog fish head Black & blue, North Coast cellars reserve 2011, Thirsty Dog Wulver, and Finished up with a Dog Fish Head World Wide Stout. So needless to say my introduction made it hard to like lesser beers. But since that time March of 2014 I've had.several wows and more well damn that was good. The wow beers blind pig, pliny the elder, sucre, Melange #3, Mocha Wednesday, Bois, Weyerbacher Quad & Nineteen. The well damn that was good hopslam, mad elf, siren noir, Raison Dextra. An my cellar is stocked with tons of beers I've never tried KBS, SMS, Chocolate Rain, Parabola, Sucba, BBA Gratitude, cellars reserve 2013, Blushing Monk, Black Note, BCS, BCCS, SO I hope more WOWS are to come. Brand new at this only since January 2015.

I'd say 1 in 25-30. Ive been seeking out more sought after beers though recently (hopslam, VaS, backwoods, SoS) bc of this, my old wow beers dont wow me anymore. I'm easy to please though, Schlafly TIPA was a Wow for me first time i had it. I recently bought a case of two hearted and heady topper, so the wow factor on other beers has been pretty slim.

I would say it's probably 1:10-15, leaning towards 10 or maybe lower. I've been drinking for a while but my foray into true beer-geekdom is relatively recent so I tend to come upon then pretty often still.
