    Roast me, toast me. Pour chocolate, cherries, pumpkin, peppers, and all kind of funky things in me. Throw me in a booze barrel for a while. Black is beautiful.

    I could live without dark, could not live without light. Light wins. Pales, saisons, pils, trippels, wheats, etc.

    Probably 9 out of 10 beers that I drink fall into the "light" category. This wouldn't be a difficult decision for me.

    Light. I'd miss RIS's, Baltic Porters, most strong ales and Quads, but lighter spectrum includes all machinations of IPA's, Barley Wines, most all German tasties, Czech Pils and BPA's . Very glad this is just a poll though.

    What kind of sick alternate world is this? I really like my saisons in the summer and I couldn't live without a good Imperial stout in the winter. I'm just glad I don't have to make this decision.

    If I must choose... I guess I'll chose darker beer. At least there are some good black saisons. I've never had a good light colored imperial stout.

    Although I have steadily started craving BA stouts and barleywines more and more in recent times, I just couldn't live without IPAs, DIPAs and Brett beers (most of which are pale, particularly the good ones).

    When I first saw the title, I said to myself "my GOD we have finally run out of topics!" Then I saw the chart and it took me a half hour staring at it to decide, and I am still not sure it was the correct answer, which I will hold with me to my grave lest certain BA'ers think less of me. Nicely played OP...

    At first I thought this was some Newbie trying to start a question, until I clicked the thread, and saw it was you @draheim You know what I mean, people who know next to nothing about beer, and divide it into "dark vs. light."

    But now that I see your question...DAMN, that's a hard one. If I choose light, all the IPA's, DIPA's I want, but alas no Impy Stouts. And vice versa...ouch. Impy Stout after working in the yard, not usually.

    I guess I would choose, um, well,...DAMN YOU @draheim <shaking fist>
