If you're in a brewpub I'm curious if a logo on your shirt/hat is a statement to the patrons that you're a beer geek, and that your 'foreign' logo is a statement that you have traveled to other breweries. I have multiple brewery logo hats, and am curious if anyone thinks there are etiquette rules. I usually like to show my 'home colors' for where I'm having a beer, but is that a no-no in your mind?

It doesn't really make a difference in my opinion. I wear my Russian River gear to the brewpub all the time, but I also wear stuff from Lagunitas, 10 Barrel, SN, etc. I wear what I wear because I like it and want to, not based on where I'm enjoying a beer that day.

I think they are more concerned with what's in your glass than on your body/head/neck/wrist/ankles/whatever.

I can't say I put much thought into it.

Whatever happens to be on the top of the stack is what I'll wear that day. I prefer to put more thought into what I'm drinking than what I'm wearing.

Haha, here is a picture of (from left to right) me, Grady Hull (assistant head brewer at New Belgium) and hiphopj5 hanging out in the barrel room when we brewed at New Belgium. Grady didn't seem to mind hiphopj5's shirt. Still give him shit for that move sometimes.

Replace band with brewery and you have my thoughts on the question at hand.

I wear clothes when I am out in public. Some of my clothes have brewery logos on them. Sometimes what I am out in public I am at a brewery. It would be reasonable to assume that at since I wear clothes, have brewery clothing and go to breweries that at some point I would be wearing brewery related clothing to a brewery. I am not one to coordinate my wardrobe to the brewery I am going to so it is also likely I would wear a piece of brewery related clothing to the same brewery. If that is a problem for some, just be glad I am wearing clothes.

Not one of the minutes of my entire life leading up to this point has ever been spent thinking about this issue, nor will any of the remaining minutes, after I put a period at the end of this sentence, be used to think about this issue ever again.

Just like going to a concert. You don't wear the shirt of who you're seeing or what you're drinking.

Agreed...I always follow the "concert" rule...although I don't think it matters too much...

Unless you are going to see RUSH.
EVERYONE wears their stuff at their shows. Very different crowd.

I follow the concert rule otherwise.

On weekends if I go anywhere I usually where a brewery t-shirt. If I go to a actual brewery I don't necessarily wear their gear.

You aren't going to see the band members wearing their shirts either

I dunno, I went to a Rush concert wearing a Dream Theater Scenes from a Memory shirt and was getting a lot of props from other people

I don't wear clothing with logos and emblems - nothing wrong with doing it of course but I just don't
