Poll: Which image hosting site do you use?

I don't have an IPhone but give it a shot using the website.

 

Thanks for trying to help! I will try to use the website instead. Wish these apps worked for me, or that Photobucket didn't change.

 

I use TinyPic when it's working, and Imgur when it's not. I use both on my phone, and they took a little time to figure out, but they are fairly simple. I like the TinyPic app the best because it basically takes 2 steps to get a direct link for BA, and an account isn't needed.

 

Do you use Imgur on an iPhone?

Ya. open the website via phone and select "Request destop site" or whatever your provider/device calls it

 

I just posted this from my phone using the Imgur iPhone app. I opened the pic in the app, hit the copy link button, and then pasted on the BA site.

It does, and I would surmise that IPhone has a workaround for it

 

I happen to have an old Tinypic account from the last time Photobucket sucked. I just figured that since there seems to be no easy app solution, I'd try Tinypic on my phone's browser. Unfortunately, it's uploading the vertical photos sideways and won't let me edit them. Urgh!!!

To clarify, you don't upload pictures to BA except submitting specific sized pictures of beers and places for their listing pages. If this is what you meant, there are certainly photo editing packages for phones but given limited controls and a small screen, it would be tedious at best so I do this on my laptop. I take the pictures on my phone, share them to my Dropbox, edit them on my laptop, then upload them.

You can't upload pictures for forums, you can only insert the URL pointing to your pictures on a publicly accessible server such as photobucket, imgur, dropbox, etc. If a person really wanted, they could set up their own image server, but that would be a chore to properly protect and ensure it is always online. I take the pictures on my phone, share them to my Dropbox, edit on my laptop, capture the public URL, and post that in forums.

 

I don't use an app on my android. I just bring up postimage on another browser tab and toggle between that and BA.

 

I just tried this. If you can't do it on google locate the chrome icon and try it there. Works on chrome on my assurance wireless cheap not up to date adroid phone.

*edit and make sure that chrome is synced to your phone. Same with google. Sync.
