I went with 1-3%. I like having a variety in my fridge and I love trying multiple beers in one sitting. Usually this leads to me being drunk and falling asleep. If I could not have that happen, plus I wouldn't have to worry about putting on weight, it'd be incredible. But like the question says, the beers I drink would have to stay exactly the same. No loss in body or mouthfeel or any changes. After 5 or 6 i'd probably start to develop a little buzz but nothing that would impact my ability to function.

4-6%, I like to have a few without getting too drunk.

This is what I was going to say, but I think 6% is the sweet spot with 5 or 7 being OK, too.

0% would be perfect. I like beer for the taste. Not the alcohol.

I LOVE the taste of beer but I just hate getting that buzz. I voted 7-9 as most I drank lately were higher.

4.20% - 7.60% ABV for Sours or Wilds
    6.40% - 6.99% ABV for everyday drinks like APAs/IPAs
    9.00% - 12.00% ABV for Double IPAs
    11.50% - infinity% ABV for BA Stouts/BA Barleywines

4-ish% would be about right for me. I drink a lot of liquid, regardless whether it's beer, pop, ice tea, or water. So, since I'm going to drink alot anyway, might as well not get all shitty drunk. Plus, except for Tripels, most of my favorites tend to be in the 5-ish range anyway (Pales, Saisons, Wits), so that would work out well.

If absolutely nothing about the beer was changed- flavor, texture, etc- then 0%. I want to be able to drink anytime, anywhere, in any quantity.

It's an interesting question, how much we would acquire the taste of beer if it didn't have the buzz associated with it. When I first tasted beer I thought it tasted awful. Now I love the taste. Is it just my palate adjusting to the alcohol taste, or did a Pavlovian stimulus-response help it adjust? Just like some people quit alcohol by putting something in their drinks that makes them feel sick, and then they stop thinking it tastes good.

In the Star Trek universe they have this thing called 'synthenol' which gives you the buzz of alcohol but without the hangover or health effects. If that existed in real life I think I'd prefer that, but since it does not I will go with the moderate level of alcohol.

I usually prefer in the 10-12% range myself. More than that tends to get a little overwhelming (like when I've had to finish off a bomber of BCBS Backyard or Proprietor's by myself), but 10-12% is just weak enough to be doable if I drink a couple of them, but still strong enough to taste as full as I like.

I should mention that I rarely drink more than 2 of the same beer at one sitting (or more than a bomber).

Since this is an "all else being equal" scenario, I'd go for 1-3%. I'm old and full of sleep and that would allow me to quaff all the livelong day without incapacitation or unnecessary naps.

HT or any DIPA that tasted the same at 5% I'd be in. Just safer, i could have a few out without any problems.

    0% easy
I could have a lot of beers even if I don't feel like getting drunk. A kegerator would definitely be in order.
I could have a lot of beers and a glass of whiskey if I do feel like getting buzzed.

Not any lower than 7 and not any higher than 18 (ex. Avery beers). And why have 6-12 pack when you can just drink ONE or TWO?

7 - 9% was my vote since 6 - 8% wasn't a choice. For me, anything between 6 & 8% is not too weak, not too strong. The secret for me is water and a little time between beers, at least at home. When I'm out, it's weird to just sit there with nothing in front of you so I try [and I often fail] to stick to lower ABVs when I'm out.

Definitely 10-12%. Love to catch a buzz on only a 750ml or a few 12oz. Without feeling full and bloated as hell
