Hey CT and other beer minds.
Ive got a really good friend and my brother coming into town this weekend for a visit.
Working a beer loop plan for them and looking for guidance and suggestions on my plan.
    Key info:
I live in Branford on the Shoreline and that is the starting and ending location.

They definitely want to go to Tree House and are more into hoppy brews.

So my plan is Friday go to Tree House for opening, from there I have options.
    1st
Head back south on 395 and hit Beer'd, then travel on 95 to Fox Farm, then move into Hamden for Counterweight and possibly Nebco, then loop back towards home with a last stop at The Beeracks.

2nd is leave TH on 84 and head to Relic in Plainville, then south to Nebco, and over to Counterweight, leave the area and try to head east to Fox Farm or just end up at The Beeracks in East Haven

So which is a better loop? To Go purchases and onsite consumption are under consideration. The second loop may cause us to miss Fox Farm which I really want to hit, but I also am a big fan of Relic and want to check out the new digs with my boys.

Any thoughts and guidance would be greatly appreciated!

I'd prefer option 1, but I think travel time could end up being a big concern on a weekday. I'd probably be inclined to cut Beer'd (especially since they don't open until 3 on Friday) and go straight from Tree House to Fox Farm, but that probably depends on how you prioritize Beer'd compared to Counterweight and NEBCO.

FWIW when doing Fox Farm to Counterweight, I've always loved taking 11 to 16 to 66 and hitting the Middletown breweries (it's an even better route for the months that Fat Orange Cat is open). I'm not sure that would necessarily work the best on a Friday either though since Forest City and Stubborn Beauty don't open until 4 and 5 respectively.

Yeah I agree, with Beer'd opening at 3 that might make for some awkward timing. @sulldaddy I say do option 2 and hit up Relic which opens at 2 (I just saw they opened their new tap room), then CW which opens at 3, then head out to Fox Farm which should give you plenty of time there since they close at 7. Then maybe Beeracks (they close at 10, right?)

I would suggest #2. Depending on time spent at each place, traffic and how much driving you want to do, Treehouse, Relic, CounterWeight, NEBCO and finally Beeracks. Keep in mind Friday traffic and time to find grub. Honestly fitting Fox Farm into option 2 would be difficult (not impossible)IMO. Cheers!

I'd do option 1 but skip Beer'd (because of timing), but that's just me because I'm not a fan of Relic and you're going way out of your way to go there.

    I'd recommend this too.

    BTW
Fox Farm >>>> Relic and even Beer'd >> Relic.

thanks for all the input. We were in and out of Tree House in 1 hour with a sweet haul. Then we went to Fox Farm right at opening and then made it to Counterweight. The day was a lot of driving but all high quality beers. Everyone was happy throughout!
Now today we head to the Black Hog Beer Fest!
