I've bought a handful of Poly Seal caps in the past for growlers of homebrew. I was hoping that they will seal better than metal and cardboard caps. I've had a few successful cappings, and other times where the inside plastic piece will separate from the black plastic outer piece. The inner piece gets stuck to the top of the growler and I'm tempted to repair the cap. Glue? I'm not sure what to do here. Does anyone else have this problem or have a way to fix these caps when they separate?

I've only had that happen a couple of times out of hundreds. Could you perhaps be over tightening them?

I've used the caps a lot in the past, the two parts are in no way permanently affixed to each other, the inner piece is just shoved inside of the outter piece so if it came out I would just shove it back in.

These caps seal growlers very well, but man are they a bitch to get off once twisted down tight. Sometimes I would have to take a pair of pliers to them to get them off.

I'm right there with you. I really crank them down. I'm nervous that the neck of the growler will break. The price I'd pay for properly carbed beer when I make a trip though.
