Grabbed a six-pack of Pizza Port's Ponto canned about a month ago (7/23), but noticed some floaties at the back end of every single can. Anyone else seen this lately? I know it's not typical, which is why I'm so surprised...

My brother has some 7/08 swamis that look like they have ramen noodles floating in them. I noticed some floaties in a 7/28 can last night and tonight. Still tastes great.

Odd... Yeah, hasn't affected taste that I've noticed. But interesting to see it's several brews in the Pizza Port line right now.

Small floaties like yeast sediment, or big floaties like wtf?

For me, it was smaller ones. But a decent amount of them. Unsure about the ones @HeyKid had, though.

Had the same issue with Ponto canned in May so it looks like it's being going on for awhile. Didn't affect the whole sixer, just a few.

Based on @walterfredo's feedback though, seems like they're not too concerned? I mean, it's fine, I guess? But not thrilled that no one's responding to inquiries.

Also had the issue with a 6 pack of Pontos from June. But I mean huge gross worm like things. Drinking out of a can you could just feel it go down your throat, out of a glass there were still a ton of floaties and weird looking. Haven't gone back since.......

you guys should report it to them, shitty response or not. they need to hear from EVERYONE that has this problem because it sounds like its not that isolated, but sometimes you dont know if you have a QA problem if you dont hear about it! thats a pretty disgusting thing to pour from a beer... anyone have pictures? im kinda curious

it sounds like chill haze... but WAY more intense. and maybe not chill haze...

Yeah small visible particles are not going to be chill haze... I imagine at canning they are letting a certain amount of yeast into the bottles. I've definitely seen yeast sediment in some of the cans I've purchased, but not so much, or so little I couldn't tell, in others. It wouldn't surprise me as we always see Mongo, for instance, with a ton of yeast sediment in the bottle.

As for the ramen noodle type particulates, I have never seen anything like that ever.

was a first for me as well. I should have taken some pics but didn't. The entire 6 pack had them.

yikes! The ones in mine were much smaller pieces, almost like pieces of long, thin rice.

yeah...none of my coworkers can really explain this one. they think it might have something to do with their filters? anyone have a can from one of the 6 packs with the horrible floaties that lives in escondido who wants to drop it off for an experiment?

Oof, we've been over this before. I'm not talking about ownership, they are separate breweries. Pizza Port does not brew Mongo.

They also brew on separate equipment and have separate bottling vs. canning lines between Port Brewing and Pizza Port. So far, no reports on any Mongo having anything more than the usual sediment at the bottom. I bought Swami's canned in July but didn't end up having Ramen noodle problems. I have one more can from that six pack and will check it tonight. So far it only seems like 4-5 people or less had this issue, right?
