Rebrand it as a DFH collab.

Tonight I opened a Ponto that was canned 8-5. No floaties, just deliciousness.

So based on feedback above, is it just the July cans that have issues, but August are fine?

I can confirm I had similar worm/noodles in at least one can of 7/23/2014 canned Ponto. Drank it from the can and, luckily, didn't finish the entire can. I went to pour out the rest a few hours later in the sink and noticed the gross noodles. I didn't notice it in at least two of the other cans I drank of the six pack and others who I shared cans with didn't mention them.

Does the cans have dates on them?

    Here we go:

TL;DR - wormy like things noticed in cans of Ponto that were canned in July (early and late canning dates were shown to have the same)
Does not appear in all cans
Cans from August appear to be wormy free

Does not affect taste of beer at all (cannot confirm, but this is what I have gathered)
    No response from Port.

Edit: I really wanted to type "No response from Pizza Port" but didn't want to open that can of worms again on the brewery naming and difference. Hehehe.. get it!?!?!? Oh man, I am hilarious this morning (at least I think so, might be the lack of sleep or lack of caffeine though).

I accept your apology, now let's go have a Ponto w/ noodles. Great to pair with!

I too have been seeing the ramen looking strings from both Ponto and Swamis canned in July. I cannot recall if the newer Swamis I've had (August) contained them or not. They are completely different than the floaties that I normally see in Wipeout and Mongo (I know, I know...) which are flaky and take a longer time to settle after pouring. The ramen noodles are more condensed and fall right to the bottom of the glass after 20seconds or so. I think they are shaped that way because the inside of the bottom of the can has a small groove where the sediment can collect. Thoughts?

They have not had an effect on taste, just appearance which is 20-25% of the total sensory equation (but somewhat less important). Nonetheless, it would be nice to not see stuff like that in my two goto favorite IPAs or have to explain to friends how the ramen worms are normal and not to worry.

None of the Ponto or Swami's I've had canned in August has had any floaties.... a very very fine dust of yeast sediment at most

I drank a Ponto last night - it tasted fine, but I woke up and pulled this out of my arm . . . I sent an email to Pizza Port and Port, but haven't heard back. It was a 9/1 canning date. Oh man.:grimacing:

I had 3 cans of Swami last night, dated 8/27. This morning, I had floaties.

Yeah, I had just had a sixer of Ponto with no issue (same date). Just grabbed some August-dated cans from WF Venice (bummed I didn't look at that date beforehand, actually...), so will see if those are okay come tomorrow when I crack them open.

^ Nothing in the August cans, FYI. I think we've established that's the only "safe" month is August, while definite issues in July and September -- wonder what caused that.
