So this guy is a pillar and he grabs one bottle out of the 4 pk you generously left and left 3. So the guy who might be looking for a 4 pk wont get one, and might have to pay an inflated price buying 3 as singles. You should have bought them all, he's the dumb ass.

You did nothing wrong. The other guy acted like a jerk. It appears he knows little about beer, since FBS is a volume, not limited, release. There will be more for months to come (THANK GOD). Like others have said, they probably had cases in the back.

 

Who's to say there's not another case or two in the back? Buy as much as you want, that beer is everywhere nowadays.

 

I can't imagine anyone getting bent about FBS being out of stock. He was probably just mad because he wanted to be the one walking out with two four-packs and you beat him to it.

I would stalk that fucker. Try to see if there is a pattern to his beer buying, then show up just ahead of him and buy up all of what's left next time. Then try to scalp it to him afterwards.

 

Are you crazy? You buy whats available and how much you want. You will never know whos buying the stout so why care how many you get. Its happened to all of us, but no one owes anyone anything, right place right time. Ive had to switch many times to something else when the spot is empty on the shelf. I never get upset, its called availability and enjoyment later.

Don't enter the individual bottle UPC, just the 4 or 6-pack UPC, on items you don't want to sell as singles. The cashiers will figure it out.

I'm off the mind that you always leave one behind. If it's the absolute last one, then by all means go for it. But if there are a couple of bottles/four packs/six packs/etc., then always leave one. You did that, so I say kudos to you.
