    Hey Guys,
I'm planning a bachelor party for my buddy and am hoping to have it up in Portland around April or May. I'm having trouble finding any beer festivals around that time. Does anyone know of any that are happening? Also definitely looking to head to Allagash, Foundation, MBC, Oxbow, etc. as well as Novare Res. Any other ideas?
    Thanks!

What we ended up doing was staying at I think the Sheraton downtown, within walking distance of everything. Might have been a Marriott, I don't remember.

Friday night we hit up Pai Men Miyake for dinner and then Novare Res for drinks.

Saturday was the Bissell/Foundation tour, followed by a scheduled Allagash tour. Then we hit up Nosh for some apps, then I THINK it was Bard Coffee for some espresso/coffee, and finally Duckfat for dinner. Then we hit up a really loud bar with a cover band, which we quickly left and simply returned to Novare Res.

That loud bar I'm assuming was Bull Feeney's. Wife and I used to like to go in there and check out the music later in the night. Beer bars can get quiet and old after so many hours.

I would add that if it's open, and it's not too cold out (or even if it is), Mt. Desert Island Ice Cream (right by Novare) is wonderful.

Duckfat is an absolute must. So. Damn. Good. Also after you've plowed through the taplist at Novare Res, walk across the street to the Thirsty Pig.

No sure of your flexibility but last April Novare had their Allagash take over and funk event. Also their Belgium Bier fest is usually the first two weeks of May. I'd also do Liquid Riot, Kings Head and Little Tap House. Maybe it's me but I'd skip Duck Fat good food but the above are just as good or better and much better beer. I'd also consider the Great Lost Bear. Started my Bachelor Party there, 70 taps, sample pour, good selection of Maine beers. I tried over 80 differ beers that night with 60+ from the GLB, our ltitle own beer event.........also Holy Doughnuts just sayin'

How many people in your party? That will exclude some places on the list. For example I would not try and get into Duckfat with more than 5-6 people.
