Portsmouth Beer Week

As someone that lives in Portsmouth, I am extremely looking forward to this week. Definitely interested in making it to the the Portsmouth Brewery to try the collaboration beers as well as the Royal Impy Stout. Also hoping to make it out and try some of the Smutty vintages that will be on tap at the various locations.

Congratulations to Patt Saville and Jeff LeBlanc, the final Kate the Great second chance drawing winners.

Thanks to everyone who entered the second chance drawing. We look forward to sharing our new Royal Impy Stout at some point in the future, whenever that may be.

Tyler does have quite a few beers waiting to go on tap, so please be patient.
So does this mean that the Royal Impy Stout wont be on tap for Beer week?

 

Royal Impy Stout is not mentioned in that blog entry...so probably not.

 

Tyler and the Brewery released a video last week saying to look out for it during Craft Beer Week. It will be on at some point during the week..

As a downtown Portsmouth resident, this is my favorite week of the year. Utopias and 2010 bourbon barrel aged Baltic Porter, Barrel aged Robust Porter, Bloom, Durty, Paradox; Yes please.

 

Where are those gonna be?

Have you seen Paradox somewhere yet?

 

I've seen it in bottles around in MA, not sure about draft or Portsmouth area.

 

It's on draft at Rudi's Market Square in Portsmouth. Super lemon forward. Very citrusy and easy drinking. I dig.

 

I'm really hoping to make it up this weekend. Portsmouth Beer Week is always a blast, even if I've always missed Kate Day and have only been up on the weekend. I'm especially excited about the in-house tap-takeover at the Portsmouth Brewery, as well as trying Paradox and hopefully picking up a six-pack of Noonan. Now, if only the snow can turn to rain.

 

Shot in the dark here, but...
I'm going to be in Cambridge Friday and Portsmouth on Saturday. KtG has always eluded me... If anyone happens to have an extra bottle laying around that they're willing to part with, I can bring up a growler of something from Tired Hands for an IP trade. PM me if interested!

I'm heading down tomorrow and never been. How much busier will the bars be because it's beer week? Will Portsmouth Brewery be packed Saturday night?

Also, any beers I should be on the look out for that are tap tomorrow? Starting with Smuttynose brewery tour, should be a good one. (Never been on it).

 

I picked one up (and a Durty) at the brewery today. Had a sample of Paradox and found it as advertised: a citrus-forward session IPA. I am very eager to crack the Durty. Couldn't believe they still had some.

Johnson's Marketplace posted today that they have some Paradox.
