    I didn't find any real good beer options during my visit. Lots of Super Bock and a few other local offerings.

    Food is good and the wine better, so that's at least an upside. I liked the region a lot but not a great beercation place.

    Have fun and please report back if you find anything!

    How did your trip to Algarve go? Any luck finding good beer? I'll be in Lagos next month and am looking for tips.

    After my suffering in the Algarve and only drinking Sagres and Super bock i found a place in Faro the last evening.
    A beerbar close to the harbor and next to mc Donalds with 50 different kind of microbreweries of Portugal on the beerlist...

    Great beerlist and had a great evening and next day noon to taste half of the beerlist (took 20% of the rest back home)
    So if somebody goes let me know and i give you adetail description of it...

    When in Rome ... I enjoyed drinking Sagres, Superbock and Especial when I visited San Miguel.
