Odd Side Ales, I turn around and BAM you're everywhere in West Michigan. You continue to amaze me by pushing the liquid envelope(sorry founders) everything from Citra to BA Citra, BA Mayan, Bean Flicker, Paranoia(now) has me wanting more! I am more than a little mad at myself for not making the 45 min drive to Grand Haven to get my lips and hands on your products fresh but I will be there soon. Thanks for being one of the brighter spots when it comes to new breweries in West Michigan.

Agreed. Sierra Nevada is great. I'm looking forward to them brewing on my side of the continent too.

Lagunita's should be a shining example of what craft beer can be. Cheap as shit and top of their game.

Their barrel aged Imperial Stout, Barrel Noir, is also well worth a try.

North Brewery - keep doing what you're doing and eventually you will be one of those mystical breweries like Russian River, etc. One of those breweries you'll be hearing about down the road

I really like the proliferation of single (12oz) pricing in my area. It is becoming more common and allows me to try more and more without the commitment to a six pack.

Two thumbs up to my favorite "Craft Beer Tasting Rooms" that have 9 or 10 high-quality brews on tap, and then let me taste a couple before ordering a flight, glass, or filling a growler.

Till then I guess you will have to make do with their excellent DIPA 07XXX

I want to give a shout out to the fantastic New England beer scene. Sometimes I feel like the bubble will burst at any moment and it'll all come crashing down, but for now, I am enjoying what seems like a new brewery popping up every month (and releasing top notch brews!), it keeps me on my toes!

    me, too

We're getting Firestone Walker here in Texas now, and while I haven't gotten to try their barrel-aged stuff yet, they're a super solid 2 for 2 for me so far with the oatmeal stout and pivo pils. I need to keep trying their stuff (and you're right -- it is relatively cheap and wide-ranging, very much like Sierra Nevada).

Hell, beers are great, but let's get real. If we're giving dire shouts out, I'm throwing my heart and soul to the show Perfect Strangers. Balki Bartokomous and Cousin Larry are real life heroes and also how Carl and Harriet Winslow got a start. If you don't agree, then get out of the country.

I am stoked that more new breweries are starting out with 16oz cans in 4 packs.

I'm pretty jazzed the supermarket that's less than 2 miles from my house is a pretty decent bottle shop. I got my first 6 of Stone Go To from there. They carry a good selection of local brews, have a decent bomber selection and a 'hidden' section of the walk in cooler with some stuff you don't see in displayed in the cases. They also installed a refrigerated case for their rotating mix six selection. They keep their stock rotated and fresh. All in all it's pretty impressive for a neighborhood grocery store and the prices are great too.
