Possible bad trade: TrojanHopHead

    Hey, I wanted some input on a possible bad trade. I was involved in a decently sized $4$ trade of some new england hoppy beers for some firestone walker beers and bcbbw.

    I shipped out on July 29th and he followed shortly thereafter, but a bottle in the package he shipped broke and as a result the package was seized and destroyed. It took a few weeks to sort out exactly what had happened and why the package hadn't arrived yet, but after informing him the package was taken he agreed to send out another to replace it. It was dragging on for a few weeks as he said he was looking for replacements for the beer that was seized, I suggested that he was welcome to replace it with anything of comparable quality because they were the last of those bottles he had and they can be hard to come by. On September 14th he said he'd send out a package that week, after a few weeks I sent a reminder and then another one a few more weeks later, neither of which received a response. We had a pending trade for a while after agreeing to the trade, but now I don't see it anymore so I don't know how to leave feedback for him. Throughout the trade he was courteous and responsive, and I feel bad that the trade turned out this way, but I'm not sure how to rectify it at this point.

    The only way to rectify it at this point is for him to ship the beer that he owes you. You've given him more than enough time. I would tag him here and hope the pressure gets him to do the right thing.

    There's always (2) sides to every story, BUT if what you say is true.....tag him. Sounds like he needs to make this right.

    I was trading with @TrojanHopHead. I hope this was just an issue of bad timing that he's able to resolve, as he was a nice guy while exchanging messages.

    OP said the trade started on July 29th. I think without any feedback from either side the trade request goes away after 60 days. So it seems about right if the other guy didn't leave positive feedback after receiving his box.

    Last online yesterday. The tag should bring him in to explain his side of the story. If what you're saying is %100 accurate, I'd say the only recourse here is for @TrojanHopHead to ship out the box that is owed.

    Hey everyone, just wanted to thank you for taking an interest in this and following up, I appreciate it. I wanted to mention that I haven't heard anything from him personally at this point, but I'm still hoping for a positive outcome.
