Get out the pitchforks and light the torches first, form the mob then ask questions later.

This is totally off-topic... I actually had two bottles break on two different trades this winter. It sucked, but I managed to trade for replacements and get the agreed upon trades completed.

My two cents in this topic is this: if you agree on a trade (exchange addresses), you are a "bad trader" if you do not follow through. I do understand that there are extenuating circumstances that arise. However, an excuse is only as good as someone's reputation; which leads me to my final point- out this guy so his reputation can be taken into consideration before another trade is agreed upon. If he has a reasonable explanation and this is an isolated incident, then this will be a drop in the bucket.

Hahahahaha i hope your kidding. So if it was $24.59 your gonna cry over .41 cents when your trading $50plus dollar bottles of beer.

I know your not the bad trader in question as I know all the details. Apparently this was needed as now the OP is taken care of so it worked.

^Yes, I told him the exact amount. Youre entitled to think that. Maybe I jumped the gun(I dont think I did), but thats precisely why I didnt name anyone, I didnt want it to be a kneejerk reaction. I wanted feedback.

Just to clarify: I only send shipping info after all the details have been solidified. I assumed (maybe wrongfully?) that this is what happened in this case. If all details have been agreed upon, it is quite dirty to back out only to have the ISO or FT be posted a day or two later. If one person has shipped (and the trade was final), all bets are off and (without a really good reason) the person who doesnt send should be outed if they don't return the box (with extras for the trouble, as AleWatcher pointed out in the thread linked above in response to my earlier post) or work something else out.

    1. I understand these aren't everyday beers to use as pawns, but if you had just let the box be delivered instead of rerouting, there would be no gray area. He would have received the box and owed you his end.

    2. Another option to outing him would be to send this thread link to the dude in a private convo and suggest/demand that he do the right thing by outing himself here and explain what he's doing to make it right. He jacked up the deal, that would be the honorable thing to do.
